Final report of the Plant ETP event “Stimulating Innovation in Plant Genetic Resources” now available

On 23 April 2013, the European technology Platform ‘Plants for the Future’ (Plant ETP) held a major stakeholder event ‘Stimulating Innovation in Plant Genetic Resources’ in Brussels highlighting the contributions of the European plant and agricultural sectors to productive, competitive and sustainable agriculture. ERASynBio first joint call for transnational research projects

The Synthetic Biology ERA-NET (ERASynBio) is pleased to announce its 1st joint call for transnational research projects in Synthetic Biology. The call will be open until 26 August 2013 and represents a unique opportunity for Europe and the USA to build Synthetic Biology capacity through innovative transnational projects. Read more

500 research teams from 21 countries join forces in the first ERA-CAPS call

A total of 110 proposals has been submitted to the first ERA-CAPS joint call that closed on 15 February 2013. The proposals involve 500 research teams from 21 European and non-European countries including Canada, New Zealand and the USA. Researchers from 5 countries outside the call consortium were able to secure the means necessary to join applying consortia. Several companies have also provided letters of support to applying consortia. Read more

Second ERA-CAPS Strategic Workshop

The Second ERA-CAPS Strategic Workshop will be held at INRA in Paris on April 11th and 12th. The aim of the Strategic Workshop is to develop ideas for self-sustainability of the network and to discuss possible themes for the second ERA-CAPS joint call for research proposals. Read more
