The Second ERA-CAPS joint call for proposals is
entitled: “Expanding the European Research Area in Molecular Plant Sciences II”.

Due to a recent decision of the Executive Board of the French Agence National de la Recherche, ANR has withdrawn as a funding partner from the second ERA-CAPS Call for proposals. For further explanations regarding this decision and the consequences we would like to refer to the French national call coordinator. The ERA-CAPS Network regrets the withdrawal of ANR but hopes for renewed collaboration in future.

Goal : This second ERA-CAPS call will fund high quality collaborative transnational research projects in fundamental molecular plant science. Research themes include (but are not limited to): Food Security; Non-Food Crops; Adaptation to a Changing Climate; and Biotic/Abiotic Stress.

The expected duration of projects will be three years.

This is a 2-step call.
Submission period for step 1 (pre-proposals) ends on 14 March 2014, 12:00 CET.

Partners: 19 ERA-CAPS partner organisations or ERA-CAPS associated organisations from 18 countries will participate in this second call (see call notice for details): Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Latvia, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Switzerland, UK, USA.

Eligible consortia must comprise research groups from a minimum of 3 different countries (at least 2 from the above list).
